Xie Jiguang, Fujian painting and calligraphy artist is living in Macao;

He was born in November 1956, a native of Fuzhou Fujian;

Bachelor degree, associate professor title.

Studied at the Central Academy of fine arts, the Capital Normal University, China National Academy of Art China painting research class, now living in Australia, specializing in the research and creation of Chinese painting and calligraphy.

Xie Jiguang began to practice writing since childhood, all the year round, seal character, regular script, running script and cursive all involved, copied various copybooks and learn widely, formed his own style, he is good at the left hand writing. His traditional Chinese painting has the temperament of literati painting, the flash point of his work is that feeling is important than reason, more narrative elements skills than deliberate techniques, you can clearly see his understanding of life, a good impulse of life. Whether it is the strength of the line, ink color shade or color blending, all revealed the understanding of Xie Jiguang’s life. Xie Jiguang's paintings have both ideological content and artistic form, they are highly readable and tend to have historical value.

Xie Jiguang's works have been exhibited, awarded and collected many times.

The cursive works were selected into the global Chinese international calligraphy and painting competition exhibition;

Japanese calligraphy was selected into the twenty-eighth Chinese - Japan International Calligraphy Competition Exhibition and won the silver medal, works were collected by the Osaka Museum of art;

The cursive works won the gold award of National middle aged painting and calligraphy master exhibition;

Seal character works were selected into Chinese Calligraphers' works album and won the gold medal;

The new font works were selected into the seventh Nanchang China literature and art Grand Prix and won the first prize;

Bamboo works were selected into the "Chinese Soul Xinhai Centennial National Painting and Calligraphy Boutique Exhibition of Famous Artists" and won the gold medal;

Cursive banner won the gold award of the Fifth Dongpo Art Festival, National Middle Aged Painting and Calligraphy Masterpieces Exhibition; seal character works were selected into the Red Classic national painting calligraphy photography poetry exhibition and won the grand prize;

One foot and two feet cursive banner won the first prize of the National Middle Aged Famous Artists’ works of Painting and Calligraphy;

Eight feet four screen cursive works won the gold award of the third session “In Praise of Chinese Calligraphy” National Calligraphy and Painting Art Grand Prix; six feet central scroll cursive works won the gold award of the third session Eurasian Cup International Painting and Calligraphy Art Grand Prix;

The list of works were selected into “celebrate the 90th anniversary of the founding of CPC and the second session local feeling International Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition” and won the Excellent Memorial Award, at the same time, won the honorary title of the “Founding Party 90th Anniversary Patriotic Artist”, which granted by the Organizing Committee;

In 2016, he was invited to participated in the works tour exhibition of the Chinese painting and calligraphy artists into Indonesia, many works were collected by the Indonesian Museum of Art;

Since 2013, many times to hold personal exhibition at home and abroad.
